How to Vote
Voting on submitted ideas is the central SlingShot activity. Lock your SLING gems to get Voting Power and earn gem rewards. The more gems you lock, and the longer you lock them, the more power and rewards you receive. Your gems are safe in a vault and keep earning you these benefits until the lock period concludes.
Step-by-step
1 VISIT SlingShotDAO.com
2 CONNECT by clicking the button at the top right. You may connect with Discord, Google, or Metamask. For detailed instructions, click here
3 COLLECT gems. You’ll need them to vote. You can get gems by participating in the Discord community,accessing airdrops, completing quests, winning contests, and more! For a full list of how you can get gems, click here
Once you’ve filled your wallet with some shiny SLING, continue to the next step.
4 LOCK your gems. Here’s how…
First, hover over your Avatar and select Wallet from the dropdown menu.
Click Lock Gems in your wallet to start the gem locking process.
Click Avail. Balance to lock all your gems, or enter a specific amount to lock. The more gems you lock, the more Voting Power you receive, and the more your gem rewards will be.
Select the lock duration then click the Lock button to confirm. The longer you lock your gems, the more Voting Power you receive, and the more your gem rewards will be.
Review your gem balance, the amount locked, and your voting power in your wallet. Your gem balance and available voting power are also displayed in the nav bar next to your avatar.
5 VOTE on one or more ideas in the Leaderboards by using your voting power. You earn even more gems as a reward for voting!
Start by clicking Leaderboards in the nav bar.
Choose a Leaderboard.
Click an idea from the list.
Review the full details of the idea. The entire community shares in the success of winning ideas. So it’s important to vote for games that sound fun, and are also likely to do well.
Click Vote when you’ve decided which game (or games) you want to support.
Adjust the Voting Slider to allocate some, or all, of your voting power to the current idea. You can vote on multiple ideas, and change your vote as often as you like until the voting round concludes.
