How to Buy sling
There are many ways to acquire SLING, like completing quests on the SlingShot DAO platform, participating in the Discord community, earning rewards for locking SLING, voting, submitting a winning idea on the leaderboards, and more.
The most direct method is to buy SLING.
Overview
To purchase SLING, you will need a digital wallet (Metamask).
The wallet must contain USDC (to exchange for SLING) and MATIC (to pay network transaction fees).
You can acquire USDC and MATIC through a Crypto Exchange like Coinbase, and transfer them to your Metamask wallet.
We’ll explain what each of these is and walk you through all the steps below…
Step-by-step
1 – Set up a digital wallet (Metamask)
If you don’t have a Metamask wallet, follow the link below then return to this page. The link will show you how to install Metamask, add the Polygon network (and MATIC), and display SLING in your wallet.
In addition to displaying MATIC and SLING, you must display USDC in your wallet. Here’s how:
1 In Metamask, click Import Tokens
2 In Metamask, click Import Tokens
3 Enter the USDC contract address:

The Token Symbol and Token Decimal fields will populate automatically.
Click the Next button.

4 Confirm the import by clicking Import.
5 USDC is now displayed in Metamask.
2 – Purchase USDC and MATIC
If you don’t have a Coinbase account, you must sign up for one before you proceed.
You must also connect a payment method such as a bank account.
1 Sign into your Coinbase account
2 Click the Buy & Sell button at the top right of the screen.
3 The purchase popup window will show a currency other than USDC. Click the currency to change it.
4 Scroll or search for USDC and select it.
5 Enter the amount you wish to spend, ensure you’re making a one time purchase, and confirm you’ve selected USDC, then click Preview Buy.
6 Carefully review and confirm the purchase order again and click Buy Now.
7 Congratulations, you’ve purchased USDC. When the transaction processing is complete, you will see the USDC balance on the My Assets page.
8 Now repeat the purchase process for MATIC. It will be listed as Polygon.
9 You only need a small amount of MATIC for transaction fees. Even $1-$2 should be sufficient.
3 – Transfer USDC and MATIC to Metamask
After acquiring USDC and Metamask you must send them (transfer) from Coinbase to your Metamask wallet.
USDC will be used to Swap for SLING, and MATIC will be used to pay network transaction fees.
1 Click the Transfer button.
2 Select Send Crypto.
3 Click to change the currency you’re transferring from the default to USDC.
4 Enter the amount to transfer. We recommend first testing with a small amount. Transferring small amount may take longer than expected to complete.
5 Click to select the Network and Recipient.
7 You will see a message warning you to make sure “your recipient accepts USDC on Polygon”. Click Yes to continue.
8 Enter your Metamask wallet address. You can copy the address directly from Metamask. Click to confirm the address.
9 Review all details, click the Preview button, and then click Send Now.
10 When the transaction is complete, you will see the USDC in your Metamask wallet.
You may confidently transfer the remaining USDC balance from Coinbase to Metamask. Sending a larger amount may trigger additional account verification steps.
11 Repeat the Transfer process for MATIC. Select Polygon/MATIC as the asset to send.
12 Select Polygon as the method.
13 Select your wallet address from the list of recent recipients.
14 Enter the amount, preview the transfer, and click Send Now.
15 When the transaction is complete, you will see the MATIC in your Metamask wallet.
4 – Purchase SLING on QUICKSWAP
Now that you have USDC and MATIC in your Metamask wallet, you’re ready to purchase SLING.
1 Visit quickswap.exchange
Click Swap in the main menu.
2 Click the FROM section.
3 Select USDC from the list.
4 Click the TO section.
5 Enter the SLING contract address in the search field. Although you can scroll to find SLING in the list, it’s always safer to enter the address manually and avoid potential fake tokens.

6 Click Connect Wallet.
7 Select Metamask.
8 Click Next.
9 Review the account info and close the popup to continue.
10 Enter the amount of USDC you want to swap for SLING.
11 Click Approve USDC. This does not trigger the purchase/swap… it merely approves the Quickswap site to use your USDC.
12 Set the maximum amount of USDC that the site can spend for this transaction.
13 Approve the mount and estimated fee (to be paid in MATIC).
14 Click Swap to initiate the transation.
16 You may be presented with a Spending Cap request window again. If you see a strange number in the field, simply set it to the amount you want and approve.
17 Sign and Confirm any signature requests that pop up.
18 Congratulations! Your transaction is complete. You have swapped USDC for SLING and used MATIC to pay the network fees.
19 You can see your SLING balance in Metamask.
