Deposit SLING in Tip.cc
SlingShot DAO’s Discord server includes Tip.cc, a simple third party “wallet” for sending and receiving SLING. For example, you can “tip” someone for answering a question or speaking at an event. To send SLING you must have some in your Tip.cc wallet. The steps for depositing SLING are listed below. It’s easy. Let’s get started…
Step-by-step
1 Sign into Discord and go to the SlingShot DAO server
2 Enter the channel called #command-the-bots
3A Type the code $deposit sling
3B You will receive a reply to check your DMs with the Tip.cc bot.
If you already have a DM open with the tip.cc bot, you can enter the deposit command in that DM.
4 Look in your DM list for a message from the Tip.cc bot.
5 You will have received a message from the Tip.cc bot providing your deposit address.
Copy this address.
6 In your browser, click the Metamask extension icon. Log in using your password.
If you don’t have Metamask installed follow these directions
7 Click in the top left corner to access Metamask Network settings.
8 Confirm you have selected the Polygon network and click “X” to close the Network Settings popup.
If you do not see Polygon as an option, add it by following these steps
9 Confirm you have SLING in your wallet, and click Send.
• If you do not have any SLING,
get some using these steps
• If you have SLING but it is not being
displayed, follow these steps
10 Paste the tip.cc address you copied in Step 5.
11 Select SLING from the Asset list.
12 Enter the amount of SLING you want to send to your Tip.cc address.
13 Review all info carefully. You will be charged a small network gas fee in $MATIC. Click Confirm.
If you need $MATIC follow these steps
In some cases Metamask will ask you to confirm the Network settings, even from Polygon to Polygon. If this occurs, click Switch Network to proceed.
14 You will see the SLING transaction in your Activity history.
15 You will see 2 Discord messages in your DM with the Tip.cc bot. The first is a notification that the transaction is pending. The second is a confirmation when it is successful.
16 You can check your SLING balance in Tip.cc by entering the command: $balance sling in your DM with the Tip.cc bot.
17 If you have other currencies in Tip.cc, you can check all your balances by entering the command: $balances in your DM with the Tip.cc bot.
Congratulations!
You deposited SLING to your Tip.cc wallet.
Now you can send SLING to people on Discord.
